Moving from Nanjing to Los Angeles

As the world's largest economy, the United States attracts numerous immigrants with its superior living environment, abundant educational resources, sound social welfare system, and a more open and fair social atmosphere. Among the many cities in the United States, Los Angeles is the most suitable city for immigrants to settle down. It is home to a large Chinese population and many Chinese communities, where Chinese people enjoy a relatively higher social status. In addition, Los Angeles has a developed economy and beautiful environment, so many Chinese immigrants to the United States prefer to settle in Los Angeles.

After obtaining his green card, Mr. Zhu from Nanjing began making arrangements to ship his furniture, luggage, and other belongings to Los Angeles for continued use, choosing Seapoe Relo as the carrier. The most economical way to move to Los Angeles is by sea freight. Mr. Zhu's items were numerous and varied, including large furniture such as dining tables, wardrobes, coffee tables, and chairs, as well as smaller items like shoes, clothing, books, and decorative pieces. The assessed volume was around 15 cubic meters, making LCL sea freight relatively cost-effective. Given the long duration and distance of sea freight moves to the United States, plus the operational steps of handling, container loading, and unloading, ensuring the safety of the items was of paramount importance. Packing the items, Seapoe's packing specialists adopted different packing solutions based on the characteristics of each item. Generally speaking, furniture items are divided into disassemblable and non-disassemblable categories. Disassemblable items are taken apart before packing, which effectively saves space and reduces volume. During packing, the specialists first wrap the item in a layer of white cotton paper, then in pearl cotton, and finally cut and wrap hard cardboard according to the shape of the furniture. This greatly reduces the damage rate of furniture caused by knocks and bumps during transportation. As for loose small items, they are directly organized into cardboard boxes of various sizes provided by Seapoe, filled with white cotton paper or pearl cotton, and finally sealed with labels. An item list is then created accordingly to facilitate subsequent customs declaration and clearance.

After packing is completed, the furniture is transported to Seapoe's warehouse to await container loading, booking, and customs declaration. Once customs declaration is completed, the goods are shipped by sea to Los Angeles. After customs clearance, they are delivered to Mr. Zhu's new home in Los Angeles, placed in position, and the packing materials are removed and taken away. This full end-to-end moving service saves Mr. Zhu both worry and effort!
