Case Summary: An elderly couple surnamed Yang from Shenzhen moved to the United States for their retirement years, shipping furniture, calligraphy and paintings by sea to Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. Yang, an elderly couple living in Shenzhen, had only one daughter, who had long since emigrated to Chicago, USA. In recent years, in order to care for her parents more easily, the daughter repeatedly invited them to move to the United States to live with her. Combined with Mr. Yang's somewhat failing health, they finally agreed to immigrate to Chicago and live with their daughter's family—on the condition that the furniture they had used for many years and Mr. Yang's collected antiques, calligraphy and paintings be shipped over as well.

After Mr. and Mrs. Yang's immigrant visas were approved, their daughter Ms. Yang began preparing for the move. Mr. Yang wanted to ship some Chinese-style wardrobes, a desk, chairs and a coffee table, and most importantly, his antiques, calligraphy and paintings. Ms. Yang was worried about damaging her father's treasures and was especially attentive to the move, so she consulted multiple international moving companies online, selected the best among them, and finally settled on Seapoe Relo.

In conversation with a Seapoe Relo representative, she learned that Mr. Xu also had some antiques that needed to be shipped. Because these items are quite special, they must be appraised before it can be determined whether they can be exported; at the same time, since antiques, calligraphy and paintings are of high value, the packing materials and process are both very important. The Seapoe Relo representative showed Ms. Xu past cases of packing antiques, calligraphy and paintings along with customer reviews, and presented a quotation plan. Ms. Xu was very satisfied and immediately signed the moving contract, confirming the moving date.

The weather was already somewhat hot when the movers arrived at Mr. Yang's home in Shenzhen as scheduled to begin the packing work. Seapoe Relo had handled many cases of packing items such as calligraphy and paintings, so their packing skills were extremely proficient. Mr. Yang, who supervised on site, was very satisfied after seeing the service and gave it high praise.

Working from sunrise to sunset, Seapoe Relo transported the packed items from Mr. Yang's home to a warehouse in Guangzhou. In the days to come, Mr. Yang's belongings would cross the ocean to reach his home in the United States.
